Forklift Safe Operation

Course Overview

Practical forklift operation for counterbalance trucks in warehouses and yards. This programme is part of the ILEES Forklifts & Material Handling pathway and blends classroom theory with supervised practical sessions so every candidate leaves able to work safely, efficiently and to international best practice.

Forklift and handler operators, warehouse and yard staff, port and terminal personnel and logistics supervisors.

• Forklift stability triangle and load centre
• Pre-use checks and battery/fuel safety
• Stacking and de-stacking at height
• Pedestrian safety and traffic routes
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Hazard identification, risk control and emergency procedures
• Relevant legislation, standards and documentation

Course Format

Duration: 2 Days. Delivered by ILEES-approved instructors at accredited training centers, combining interactive classroom sessions, demonstrations and hands-on practice.

Assessment & Certification

Theory test and practical operating assessment. Successful candidates receive an ILEES Operator Certificate and wallet ID card.
